dental impression.jpg

Technology you won't hate.

Did you ever experience how a dental impression feels like? A runny material is put in your mouth, often flowing into your throat. It can be an extremely bad feeling.

We can do better!

What is a digital impression?

A digital impression is a far more comfortable procedure, than regular impressions. We scan your teeth with a small tool, and create a 3D impression of them. This way we have all data, to produce you crowns or any kind of tooth replacement, that perfectly integrates in to your mouth.

Trust your own eyes.

Scanning your teeth is not only extremely precise, but also allows you, to see what we see. This way you don't have to base your decision on anyones word, but on what you see with your own eyes. If there is a cavity, we show you the cavity. If you need a crown, we show you why.

Grinding down 70% of your own tooth? Rather not.

Old porcelain-metal crowns required removal of a large amount of healthy tooth structure. This was mainly because of 2 reasons.

1. Metal and porcelain together are thicker, than zirconia alone. For that reason, the dentist needed to remove more healthy tooth structure, in order to not create a bulky crown. This could make the tooth more sensitive and prone to fracture.

2. It was not possible to create such a great bond, between tooth and metal, as between zirconia and a tooth. Without this great bond, they needed to cover each side of the tooth, to have the crown stick to it for a long time. Zirconia crowns stick to your teeth much better, by this it is possible to create long-lasting partial crowns, which don't cover all surfaces of the tooth, saving a lot of tooth structure by this.

What people are saying

I got a series of dental treatments that made my teeth more stable stronger and more beautiful. I had never received such a complete treatment anywhere before. In addition, I got a new balancing device that made my body stronger, more energetic and easier to bear the load. I can be more forceful in my bite as well. It’s worth gold when eating seeds and meat, just like this service team. If you don't have such a treatment yet, don't miss it!

This is my analogy: We could exist without fire, but what it would be like.

The family goes there ... My 71-year-old mom said, "I've never met such a professional, attentive, patient doctor in my life." We also took my little boy there when he was a couple of years old. He was treated fantastically. The doctor tells everything in advance what he will do, why. Their goal is to save teeth. Additional info, parking in the area is free and they are located in the suburb of BP, so  you don’t have to calculate with a traffic jam.

Back to the basics! How are crowns made? What is a crown?

Dental crowns are a category of tooth replacements. They replace the missing parts of your tooth and parts of it that were previously decayed, meaning there was a cavity. First we do an initial examination, to check if it is possible to put a crown on your tooth. After this, our dentist removes all the decayed parts and brings it to a particular shape. If some surfaces of your tooth are still intact, we probably won't grind them, but we will consult with you everything, when we are there.

After the tooth is brought to it's new shape, which is appropriate to fit a crown on it, we scan your mouth again.

Am I left without teeth?

Definitely no! After our dentist shaped your tooth and scanned it, you will get a temporary crown the same day. This has the form, shape of the final crown, but is made of a dental plastic. The goal of this is, to try the new shape, see how you can chew with it, how it integrates into your mouth. After you tested it (1 day can be enough), we fabricate the final zirconia crown for you. This will have the exact shape of the temporary crown (or different, if modification was needed), but will be much more natural and esthetic in appearance as it is a ceramic crown.

Weeks of waiting?
Not here.

After you finished the first step of treatment with your dentist, we start planning your new crowns on our computer. After the designing is finished, we start our milling machines. The new crowns are milled from a disc shaped block of zirconia ceramic.

Fine tuning

After we took out the new crowns from the machine we fine tune the crowns. We controll the shape, contour and color of them. Fine polishing and minor adjustments are done at this step, to ensure perfect functionality, esthetics, and longevity.

White, but not fake.

With the magnificent color system of Miyo liquid ceramics, we are able to reproduce the natural play of colors, to create unpaired esthetics.

Note the teeth on the left side are not colored yet, but the teeth on the right already got their esthetic finishing.

Normal teeth can have multiple colors. It is important to reproduce this play of colors with your new crowns. With the help of the different shades of liquid ceramics we are able to do this.

What other people say

My experience with Balance Dental has been phenomenal which I like to share with everyone who is looking for not just a good professional Dental practice but where you feel safe due to the available knowledge between the staff.

From the first contact by email till the last goodby at the praxis was all very pleasant.

I had some issues with my teeth in the past and have seen different dentists. What I experienced here was from a different level. With a thorough examination done with scanning of all my teeth, X-ray’s and physical examinations the treatment plan was put together. We have been over each step and it was laid out why they advised this with real examples.

The execution of the whole plan went very smooth and after all done I am very happy and satisfied and have not felt in years so well about my teeth which does influence as well the rest of my body and my whole week being.

I like to thank Miklos and Sebastian (who did the actual treatment) and the whole team for their professional help. I can  say if you want real help to handle your teeth and as well your back you should visit the practice and work with them and you will experience the result.

All the best,

HJR

Surprises? Not here.

Thanks to digital planning the load that teeth get is perfectly harmonized. An overload of a tooth, or undesirable forces can cause crowns to chip or a tooth to hurt. Digital planning and fabrication of teeth is the way to go, for perfect distribution of forces.

This young man wanted to get his teeth fixed and get a new, esthetic smile. We needed to start with several fillings and removal of a few teeth. After this, he got brand new crowns, bridges and veneers on his teeth. We corrected his bite with the crowns in order to restore proper function and facial esthetics.

Zirconia - Ceramics redefined

Zirconia is the most resisting and durable material available on the dental market. It is used to fabricate dental crowns, bridges, veneers and even implants, where it replaces titanium!

Besides this, zirconia restorations proved to be better for your gum, as bacteria are virtually unable to stick to it.

The key differences, between zirconia crowns and porcelain fused to metal crowns (shown on the picture).

1. Zirconia crowns are completely metal free and are fabricated in one piece, because of this it is very strong. Porcelain fused to metal crowns have a metal core on which porcelain is layered. The edge of these crowns can appear to be darker, creating an unnatural look. (as seen in this pictures, at the upper front teeth)

Zirconia crowns and bridges don't have such a metal core. This way there is no dark edge.

2. The ceramic top of PFM crowns is more prone to chipping, as it is a weaker material. Zirconia crowns are less likely to chip, as it is a stronger type of ceramic.

3. The other difference is, that PFM crowns need more tooth grinding, as there has to be space for metal and ceramic. Zirconia crowns need less tooth reduction, so this way we save more vital tooth structure.

4. Zirconia crowns are fabricated completely digitally and only need minor characterization, coloring by hand, to create a natural look. This way we can exactly reproduce the digitally planned teeth, and get the expected results. PFM crowns are hand made, because of this it can be more likely be different, than the expected form, color.
